| Description |
There are a large number of jars of our class 1 and 2 in TF1
from the important Basel Gasfabrik assemblage
(Major 1940,
Furger-Gunti and Berger 1980).
These vessels are particularly important for our understanding of the
early wide distribution of the ware.
The generally later Basel Münsterhugel site
(Furger-Gunti 1979)
has yielded a few examples of jars similar in form to class 1 and C262.
