Typology Cam 262
Description Moulded-rim jars of the types under consideration are certainly not common at Vindonissa - they do not appear in either the classic `Schutthügel' report (Ettlinger and Simonett 1952) or in Tomasevic's study of the Tiberian ceramics of the XIII legion (Tomasevic 1970). However, a single moulded-rim jar is illustrated, in section only, from the Augustan "Keltengraben" assemblage (Ettlinger 1977, Taf.3,47). The vessel is described as `eines kleinen Topfes aus braunen Ton mit nach innen getrepptem Rand und Resten von Goldglimmerüberzug' and Augst and Oberaden type 101 are cited as parallels.
