| Description |
A number of wasters of moulded-rim jars of the
C262 form are illustrated from this site.
Most seem to have only a single groove on the inside of the rim and
are in a quartz-tempered wheel-thrown ware,
with a micaceous slip on the rim and shoulder.
In their brief description,
Jobelot and Vermeersch draw an
explicit contrast between these vessels and
the coarser fabric of the majority of examples
of le type Besançon from the region.
